Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera with Blackmagic Design is a compact Super 16 camera designed for digital film production. The Super 16 sensor has an effective resolution of 1920à-1080 and is capable of capturing 13 stops of dynamic range. The Pocket Cinema Camera records Full HD video in both CinemaDNG Raw lossless and Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) format. Micro 4/3 active optical attachments can accommodate a wide range of lenses in MFT format. Blackmagic has enclosed all these features in an extraordinarily compact and lightweight magnesium alloy body.
The Blackmagic Cinema Camera Pocket allows you to use a wide range of lenses including Micro 4/3 active optical attachments can accommodate a wide range of lenses in MFT format, and with full electronic control of the latter, you can simply bet and set the iris on command. Mounting the Micro 4/3 lens also offers the flexibility to adapt to other lenses, including PL lenses. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera is equipped with an SD card slot.
BMPCC allows the use of a wide range of lenses. MFT lenses can be controlled completely electronically. However, the MFT mount allows you to adapt many other types of lenses to the camera via an adapter ring. For example, it is possible to use on the camera in manual mode optics with PL connection like the Super 16 film lenses.
Shutter angle, time-lapse interval, aperture, ISO, residual battery and recording are available at the bottom of the screen.
On the side of the camera are the professional connections, including the micro HDMI output with optional overlays, which facilitate monitoring operations on the set. It houses 2 standard mini-jack inputs for microphone and headphones, an input for LANC remote control and a 12V DC input for power supply.
